[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50″][vc_column_text]Even though I lived in Milwaukee and my fiancé lived in Minneapolis, we decided to get married in Chippewa Falls. Eau Claire was where we met and fell in love. It seemed fitting to begin the rest of our lives in that area as well. The best advice I received while planning our wedding was to treat the big day as if you were inviting each guest into your home. This mentality helped Jared and I plan a day that felt intimate and personal, even though we were surrounded by nearly 200 of our family and friends. It was important to us that our wedding reflected our personalities. Jared and I both love spending time outdoors, and we couldn’t imagine spending our wedding day inside. We loved the beautiful location and rustic log cabins at White’s Wildwood Retreat so we chose a day in August and hoped for good weather. August 31, 2013, was an incredibly hot day that faded into the loveliest of summer evenings. I wish I could relive our wedding day over and over again. Everything was perfect–even the details that didn’t go according to plan. We loved that our guests could relax by a campfire and make s’mores under the stars. I was thrilled with the romantic flowers and my HUGE bouquet. The personalized signs made by my aunt, my sister, and I. Wearing my mother’s veil. Walking down the aisle to the same song my parents played at their wedding twenty-nine years earlier. We made sure to leave plenty of time for laughter and dancing on our wedding day.
